Please mail the application and a non-refundable deposit for $450 (check or money order) for each week that you wish to attend.
You must mail the deposit in time to arrive by June 27, 2008. Late applications may be accepted, if time and space permit. If applying late, please call before mailing the application and deposit. Minimum experience is one year of competitive fencing (high school, club or USFA), but two or more years is preferred, especially for week 2.
Age range is 14-17. Exceptions must be approved in advance.
When applications are received, additional forms (medical, etc.) will be sent out.
All forms must be completed and brought to camp registration on July 20 or July 27, along with a check for an additional $300 for each week campers plan to attend. If a camper is not accepted for any reason, the deposit will be returned.
If campers have not received acknowledgement by July 11th, please call the Junior Fencing Camp office immediately at (215) 898-6116 or the secretary at 215-898-6883. Mail does sometimes get lost.
Housing will be in a high-rise, air-conditioned University of Pennsylvania dormitory with staff supervision in residence. Meals will be served in a Penn dining hall, Monday through Friday, and in local restaurants on the weekends.
The total cost of
$750 per week is all inclusive, except for games, snacks, laundry and the usual unforseen items for which one carries a little pocket money.
There will be a surcharge to replace lost keys and ID cards, if they are not returned. If you have specific questions, please feel free to contact Dave Micahnik for more information. Leave your name and telephone number at (215) 898-6116 or at
