The Program

Fencers should arrive in reasonably good condition in order to withstand and profit from the camp program. Each

camper will acquire a better understanding of pracitce techniques, fundamental actions, bout structure, strategy,

tactics and conditioning. The material of the camp program should enable the camper to be more effective in training

and competing during the following season. Individual lessons are geared toward each fencer's particular needs.

 

Physical Training:

 

* Warm-up, stretching, footwork and agility

* Tactical footwork for more experienced fencers

* Special emphasis on agility development and bout-relevant mobility drills

 

Lessons:

 

* Each fencer receives individual lessons from a staff coach

 

Drills and bouting:

 

* Divided by weapon and level, as appropriate

 

Discussion Groups:

 

* Lectures and dialogues on subjects of interest

 

Cost:

 

* $1050 per week if payment received by June 18. 2012. or $1200 if payment received between June 19. and July 6. 2012.
